Our Story

After having spent a semester in Canada, Felix was deeply inspired by the involvement of his Canadian peers in non-profit matters. Not only did he feel a renewed responsibility to use whatever means he had to positively impact the life of others, but he was also convinced that place of birth, gender, skin color, religion or ethnicity shouldn't be what determines whether a child gets the chance to go to school or not - the right to education is a universal one.

Thus, once he was back in Luxembourg, he was determined to follow the example of his new friends and create a viable non-profit organization that provides education to some of the world's most unprivileged children.

Felix and his friend, Fabian had already been involved with organizing multiple fundraising events with their high school French teacher Marie-Paule Georges, who at the time was running a successful NGO in South Africa. Excited by what they had achieved and confident about the knowledge they had gained, the two friends soon started their own independent fundraising projects.

In December 2009, they recruited another friend and officially founded the non-profit organization "MPG Responsibility Now!" The acronym MPG was an honoring, lasting tribute to their teacher Marie-Paule Georges, who had passed away unexpectedly during that summer, as well as a wish to carry forward her
immeasurable level of commitment, the ability to inspire others, and an unconditional love for the world’s
most needy.
